PROFILE

            Viwadeepthi CMI Public School, named after Jesus Christ, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, and located in a tranquil area blessed with scenic beauty in Adimali, is and educational enterprise of the CMI fathers; an indigenous religious congregation founded by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. We consider education as integral formation of the human person for the fulfillment of his/her individual and social responsibilities. Our educational endeavors aim at forming leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy, and socially acceptable; who will champion the cause of justice, love truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth. We aspire towards creating a just and human society where dignity of human person is respected, where unjust social structures are challenged, where our cultural heritage of ahimsa, religious harmony and national integration is upheld, and where the poor and the marginalized are specially taken care of. To this end, a number of innovative features are being incorporated in to the formal framework of the curriculum of the school. It is a senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and is recognized unto and including twelfth standard.

            The school was started in June 1992 under the management of Carmel Monastery, Vazhakulam and was transferred to Carmel Province, Muvattupuzha in 1993. Carmel Education Trust was formed in 1994, for the efficient and smooth functioning of the school. The institution is entitled to enjoy the benefits of article 30(1) of the Constitution of India as it is established and administered by a Christian minority community.

            The School provides highly efficient coaching to both boys and girls according to the syllabus prescribed by the central Board of secondary Education, New Delhi. The objective of the curriculum is to fully develop the student's individual potentialities rather than to confine him/her to books alone. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi and Malayalam will also be included in the curriculum. Periodical and monthly evaluation and parent/teacher meeting will help to assess the level of attainment of the student.

            Over and above the normal course of studies as per CBSE Syllabus, we provide the student with opportunities to learn a trade or to excel in any field of their choice in future. Training is imparted in Computer Science, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Classical Dance, Break Dance, Embroidery, Knitting, Karate, Kumfu, Drawing & painting, Band, etc.

            The students are given ample opportunities in leadership training. They are prepared to take part in inter-school competition, quiz competitions and scholarship examination. Along with high academic standard, a well integrated personality of our students is the    goal of our school.

            A well - stocked library with thousands of books and a reading room with dozens of periodicals and daily news papers, most modern laboratories, Computer Lab, Audio Visual Room and high-teach teaching aids do contribute to the high academic standard  of our students.
